I've always kinda had gas for one of these and the GC in Daytona has a used one for $299 in excellent condition that is calling to me. I'm not much of a Floyd Rose guy but the GAS is strong so reason has flown out the window. Plus this one looks to be a top-mounted FR so I could easily deck the thing. Not sure what kind of rep these guitars have though.

Edit: Made in India which you don't see too often. Opinions?

    Anyone? @PsychoCid?

My brother has that exact guitar. I've only played it a couple times but it seems solid - hes' a big Maiden fan and bought it almost exclusively because of that. He plays it in his church band so I know it works for that at least ;-)

Awake69 had one I'm almost positive. I don't know if he's still here though.

I was looking into those when one popped here awhile back. I remember reading about some issues with the Indian ones...and the pickups left a lot to be desired. But for the right price, and you get to check it out first? Why not!

Jackson stratheads used to be rarer than duck's teeth.
I've been tempted by these since they came out, but something about them has kept me from pulling the trigger. It's not the appearance, the guitar definitely has that going on.

I've got no experience with these models but I agree a top mount floyd is a superior choice to any trem or stop tail set-up. :)

Whether you intend to use the floyd or not, I still want it decked!

Absolutely. All except for one which came floating and I never got around to changing it.

Otherwise I definitely prefer decked for super stability. Also allows me to connect a Dtuna, which I love.

I meant to reply to this. @uwmcscott do you know if he's done any mods or is he happy with the sound and playability stock?

To my knowledge it is still bone stock. But then again he's not afflicted by the AGF/GAS virus yet, so he only owns one guitar and one amp. I know he does play it in a worship band and it is apparently suitable for that purpose.

Good to know, thanks man. I'm hoping that guitar is sold so I don't have to GAS over it anymore but I have a feeling it's still there.

Always been a fan of it, but a Charvel SoCal in the same finish always has the edge for me, especially since the 2016 models (wheel TR adjustment, push/pull pots, side jack, floating).
