Hell yes. Picked up my Bugera 6262 head from my amp tech today. Some of you that participated in the epic MF Bait and Switch thread might recall that I grabbed one of the Bugera 6262 heads, which had a bad power tube and it sparked and lit up and rendered the amp to be in need of repair.

The tech took care of it, and I'm glad because it sounds killer. He swapped the stock tubes, biased the amp and he fashioned a new and better fuse holder. He gave the amp a good look over and said everything inside the amp checked out and looked good. He said the problem with the amp was the tube, as @slaveunit was quick to point out when this whole fiasco broke out early last year. So, for an egregiously low blowout price, plus a tube swap and servicing, I got a very nice high gain amp and I'm still way under the price of a new Infinium version of this amp.

Amp pron for those that like this kind of thing:

Yes, the 6262 is sitting on top of a 6260 combo, because both amps sound a bit different now (running the 6262 through different cabs), and because I'm crazy like that. The Tokai Explorer sounds great through these high gain monsters.

If you put that resonance control you'll think, "Why didn't I do this earlier? "

I completely forgot about the resonance control mod.

Glad it worked out for you! My two (1990 head & 333 combo) are still going strong as well. Changing out the tubes and rebiasing seems to have done the trick! I like the Bugs so much I sprang for a V22 Infinium head. Love it! Best sounding amp I own (through a 2x12 Framus cab w/Vintage 30s.)

That was a fun fiasco wasn't it? I ended up sending my combo back, kind of wishing i had picked up one of the heads. Congrats on your newly fixed and great sounding ampage!

    Congrats!

I thought it may be the tubes blowing the fuse. Especially it they were the original Chinese tubes, which can sound okay but haven't caught up with the top tubes of the world in reliability and longevity.

My 6262 had issues, and it was two of the power tubes going kaflooey after less than 10 hours of play. New Sovteks and a biasing, and we are good to go. No I know it isn't totally isolated.

Not isolated at all, this happened my 333XL as well, same problem, but I returned it. Once you address the tube issues, there are good amps.
