The only one that really appeals to me visually is the Strat-bodied Tele.

Functionally, I could work with any of them.

Kind of like them all - least favorite is the red strat/jag. The tele's all look appealing in some way.

I guess my perception of the status quo makes me throw up in my mouth a little.
I might get used to it, especially if the price is right.

Are we down the Alice in Wonderland rabbit hole, or is this, like, man, a bad acid flashback....

I'm gonna stick with the "get off my lawn" crowd on this one and say that tele's should have tele necks and vice versa.

So does anyone know if these models will actually be released - or if this part of an upcoming April Fools Joke by Fender? It's probably a good way to generate buzz if anything. More fun than coming out and saying "we're not going to NAMM".

Peavey uses a modified Tele style headstock on their Predator Strat bodied guitars. I was drawn to it immediately, and still like that look immensely.

To play the contrarian, shouldn't it be called a Tele necked Strat? : )

As opposed to the first two in the other post, I like these three quite a bit.

I like most of them. The strat/Jag thing looks weird to me though.

I’ve always favored Strat headstocks on Teles. Just looks right to me.

The Tele/Jazzmaster is my favorite out of the ones shown.

Maybe I’m not the purist I thought I was cuz I’m definitely not shitting myself over these mix and match designs, mostly I’m just ambivalent...

But I am jacked about the new Meteora - it’s hot!

A tom/stop never belongs on a tele. It just doesn't. They should have thrown on a B7 or wraptail.

I can dig the strat headstock IF it the smallish version. That big version is absurd.

    More meh.

That's the best reason to own one.

Maybe the only one? Making others throw up in their mouth is one of the great reasons for rock and roll.
Also maybe the reason for pink guitars? :)

I remember when Fender called this mix ‘n’ match concept their “Pawn Shop” line. In hindsight, that branding probably came across as a little derogatory.

    Still, my #2 guitar...

...just saw the new prices. No ma’am. Obviously coming from a parallel universe where I’m a millionaire.

I paid $450 for my Japanese-made Pawn Shop ‘72 (NIB from Hello Music). That looks even more like a steal now.
