I thought the same thing about the design as soon as I saw it.

"If we light the guitars excessively & shoot through a filter people will be impressed with the turd" - Gibson

Looks Backlund inspired. It's not so terribly bad but meh.

I despise mirror pickguards. They should be banished to some planet Star Trek fleet hasn't explored yet.

Kinda has a ZZ Top vibe to it. I am not a V fan in general and would never own one but I think I like this one better than the original. Reminds me of the Korina Moderne but sans that fugly headstock.

Not bad. Gibsons amazing history really puts them between a rock and a hardplace. Bashed for any thing new and slammed for being old fashioned.
I think its ok but really they should go full bore on a new moderne. I think its better than this and still feels fresh. I love a good V but they can be unwieldy. This seems more compact

I did a full video talking about that! I think I like it but everyone is complaining that it's just a copy of the Roswell V from Jackson I think.

I like it better than the Modern DC semi hollowbody.

Backlund and Hallmark first things that popped into my head,

It's ok, it's novel. But that mirror pick guard is tragic.

Yep I thought of the Roswell Rhoads, too.

Gibson: still being run by monkeys.

It's a straight rip off of the Roswell Rhoads.

Well the original Vs were much hated in the day, so were firebirds and explorers and the worst of the lot of them, the SG

You know, it's not as atrocious as some of their other hair-brained designs of late, but FFS, $4500 list? Really?! How about introduce a new design at an affordable price, maybe then people will give it a fair shot. For that kind of scratch I'd be putting my money elsewhere.

For the price I guess they want it to fail.
