I don’t know if their cases are shite... They look nice (the ones that don’t look gross, or stupid, that is :) ). This may not be enough of an incentive, but I thought someone might be interested.

Wait a sec........You buy the guitar and then get a case for 1/2 off...
KInda makes it sound like the guitar and case are 1/2 off right outta the gate....

    Unless I'm a dumb dumb....

I thought they meant you buy the guitar and get the case for half price. If I'm wrong, somebody tell me. I had my eye on one that's already on sale; I can't see them cutting it again by 50%.

No, you’re right. It’s the case that’s half off.

Haha! Yeah, those are some of the ones I was referring to as ‘gross or stupid’.

To be blunt, from my personal experience I concluded that Xaviere guitars suck, and while those cases look cool in the photos, they are really not all that great. If you want something to store your guitar in at home, or to take to an occasional local gig, then they are fine, but I would not rely on them if you ever went on the road. They are not as good as the Rondo cases, if that tells you anything.

With GFS, I just stick to some of their hardware and some of their pickups, which are just fine.

Honesty, I've had a minor case of GAS for one of these for a couple of years, but I just haven't had the gumption to pull the trigger yet:

I basically just want it for the finish, binding and flame top. I'll probably swap the neck for one with a maple fretboard.

I give them props for those decals; there are several. My favorite is the Less Real in the regular Paul script. It makes light of the whole fauxcaster issue and gives people something to put on their headstock. I think they should have more choices, though.

Not worth the gamble from my experience Xavier guitars are another "project" guitar at best. Ymmv.
I'd rather a B stock agile than an A stock Xavier.

has anyone ever tried one of their "rich tonewood" acoustic guitars? They look fantastic, but I'd be afraid to dump over $300 on an acoustic that no one has ever seen in real life...

I've been tempted by their acoustics in the past, but I'm even iffy about buying brand name acoustics without playing them first.

I'm mildly interested in the $40 Featherweight Strat/Tele case. That'd be perfect for throwing my Furrian in the back of my car to go ten houses down the street to my pal's house in the wintertime. I'm also mildly interested in a set neck Tele neck/body, but so far I've resisted.
