Ok, so stay tuned, BwG guitars might be able to stay afloat. I restructured some debt and made some new connections.
Running numbers now to see if I can make it work.

    Wish me luck!

That being said, tele style or les paul style?

Purely from a money standpoint, I'd imagine the demand and profit margin is higher on lp clones.

I'd like to see a really cool tele Deluxe style thing with humbuckers (minus the huge pickguards though). I recently saw a Warmoth goldtop tele with two humbuckers, totally killer!

    I’d love a Rosewood Tele.

Hope this works for you! Yeah, I'd go for Tele-style too. Chapman's are pretty sexy, maybe go down a similar kind of road.

If you go Tele, you need to make it different/special so you are not competing with Squier and MIM Fenders.

Make the shapes fit but do something different like unique woods or finishes or different pickup options. It is going to be hard to sell one that looks and sounds like a Squier CV unless it is much cheaper. You aren't going to make a lot of money if all you have going for your product is the cheapest price in the marketplace.

I hate to add to the pile-on, but think relative unobtanium guitars.
    Here's my gas list, FWIW

    Yamaha SG
    Gibson Moderne
    54 goldtop or a 58 dc
or a malcolm G-jet sort of thing
or perhaps bound superstrats like the vigiers

    That sort of thing

LP style. Something like an AL3200 but at half the price.

A tele with an arm contour and belly cut interests me. I'd love something with a good retro aesthetic (Reverend, Dusenberg, Supro, etc.) if you decide to diverge a little bit from the norm. 10 or 12" radius.

I vote Tele style (that's pretty predictable these days).

But not your garden variety, 'traditional' configuration... I'd like to see something like a Jim Adkins model (thinline w/ P90s), or a Custom II (w/ P90s).

I like the big pickguard on Customs.
