First up the new amp. I got into a little money trouble a while back, and ended up selling my amp. I also sold 2 of my offset builds (only to end up returning both of them) but that's another story.

I finally have some money saved and figured I would use a little on a new amp. I've been scouring CL for the past few days unsuccessfully. I knew I wanted tube and wanted something that could deliver marshall type tones. Anyways today I found this killer deal on Jet City Factorys Reverb page.

    https://reverb.com/item/1632442-2212c

Very excited to have this on its way. Only the second time buying a brand new amp.

Also I got another offset body in the mail today. I've got a Squier CV neck ready to go on it. I'm going to try to copy @cantthink0f0ne and use keda dyes to achieve a burst like this

Gonna be another awesome build! Good thing about solid body vs veneer is if you're not happy with it you can always sand back and touch things up. I really need an SJR body soon.

    Congrats on the amp too!

Thanks Ilya. He's been using some cool stuff to make bodies lately. I can't wait to get home today to start dry fitting everything.

Very nice grain on that body. I prefer this to flame or quilted top. Looks to be one piece as well.

I have the JCA22H head version of that amp--love it. Marshall-esque crunch on "Crunch" channel (not just a clever name!), blistering Soldano lead on Overdrive channel

Thanks guys. I bolted up the neck and noticed some issues with the body last night.

Both of which I'm going to just work around. New picture...

@ninet1gt What issues did you discover? From the pics it looks like a small check/crack on the bottom of the body, but nothing a little CA glue couldn't fix.

Looks nice. You can also sand back some of it if you feel you applied too much. I did lightly to the dark edges and the transition was much better.

Had to order pickup rings and a 3 way switch. Probably get to actually assemble this thing next weekend.

Better mock up pictures. Pickup rings and guitar switch now show they'll be delivered today. So possible finished product tonight.

Actually that's not mine. Someone I met through a facebook buy sell trade group made it. He says its an albatross kit (like Ilya did) that he put together and reliced. It was my inspiration for the burst. Obviously I ended up darker but I like it.

Got it pretty much wrapped up today. Still need to make the control cover plate and add strap buttons.

    Quick run down
-Walnut body from SJR Custom Guitars, finished with Keda dyes and Varathane rattle can poly.
-Squier CV HSH Strat neck. This is not like normal CV necks. 22 frets, satin finish and factory locking tuners.
-Pickups are no name pickups I had in another one of my builds. They may be replaced down the road.
