What do you guys think of this one compared to my usual stuff?? Definitely brighter and a bit more defined.

I used the JP100D for this one.

no surprise to anyone, my favorite part starts at 43 seconds. You had the pedal mashed hard for those last 10 seconds or so. I like the tone better for lead than for the rhythm. For rhythm it was pretty good but missing some growl. Lots of clarity though. Trade-off I suppose.

Keep in mind I was listening on TV speakers. Decent TV speakers, but TV speakers just the same.

I'll do a side by side comparison with my usual tone. The older tone sounds super dark compared to this one.

I think it sounds much the same with the new tone being louder in the mix. I'd take either one.

Both are very good. Comparatively, the older tone sounds fatter in the low mids. I think it shows most in the faster passages toward the end of the recording, I really prefer the clarity at that point. Obviously apples and oranges, comparing the Axe-Fx with the AmpliTube app on my iPhone, but I prefer the Engl model over pretty much all the others. By far the most tweakable and very good sounding one in the bunch, according to, well, me.:grinning:

I was never really a fan of the ENGL model on pretty much anything I've played. My absolute favorite are the boogie amps. I've listened to this over and over and I prefer the older tones. Go figure.
