If anybody is familiar with these, how do they compare to P90s tonewise?

I have an old 1987 Peavey Patriot with them installed (it's all stock) and I've been kind of treating it as a toy guitar (had a set of 009's on it and the action ludicrously low) and leaving it cased but earlier it occurred to me that it actually might not sound bad if I put some 10s on it and did a little setup. The bridge pickup is a little thin-sounding and quiet (even raised pretty high) but I really like the sound of the neck pup. I'm wondering if this should sate my desire to get something with P90s in it (probably a Liquid or AL).

    I'm talking about these guys:

Don't know anything about them, but I'd bet they are badass.

Not really like P90s. They were reasonably popular with country players for a time.

I've had a few Peavey's with them and I totally agree the neck pickup sounds great. I have 2 of them and plan on installing one in the neck of my tele.

Give the Peavey some love & you will likely grow to appreciate it. The super ferrites are thought to be between a P90 & a tele in sound.

I haven't seen them in forever. @golem nailed it. They are single coils. The coil is wrapped around that steel blade, that attaches at the bottom to a pair of ceramic magnets (like a P-90). They have a wide frequency range, but not a lot of grunt.
