I have been following them for a while as they are here in the Twin Cities. They have an interesting story. Here is there website:
    https://spec-ops-llc.com/index.php

The amp price seems much lower on ebay than their site. I don't think that is always the case. You better jump on it!

Their vids on YouTube weren't convincing but the handwired one for 250 has me interested.

I bought the 5w thresher off ebay. It was 160 shipped. The 18w handwired one went back up to 350, too much of a gamble for me. *Edit, nevermind, back to 250.
Looks like the 18 and 36w models are in sale too, 175 and 200.

Ok cool. I'm curious. They all seem to be on sale right now. Personally I think the Mako handwired one sounds the worst in the videos.

I agree, I thought maybe it was the player or his eq'ing.
The 5w seemed most appropriate for my home playing and was the cheapest gamble. I'm overstocked on el84 amps too so the octal tube 5w sounded interesting (says 6l6 but I assume 6v6). It does seem the 18 and 36w are good deals too though.

I wanted to try one of those Pulse amps too but that website doesn't take paypal.

Holy cats that amp has every feature you could want! I was reading the description and when I saw the spring reverb I thought it must be a mistake left over from a description of a combo. Nope! Look at the photo of the back and there's the spring reverb unit. I wish I had the dough to grab this. They have some great deals on Spec Op pedals, too.

Off to research the amps and pedals now.

What's the catch? That's like less than Bugera pricing.... didn't know that was possible.

Got my 5w Thresher the other day.
Definitely seems to be going for a Champ vibe. Stays pretty clean unless you crank the gain. Definitely brighter and cleaner than the JetCity custom5.
Seems well made. Forgot to check if it's a 6v6 or 6l6 but it's definitely an octal tube.

Thanks for the update. I was looking at them again last week but talked myself out of them. I actually bought this model amp that Holdsworth is playing. :)

The one on the bottom (that I'm plugged into right now) was the one that Holdsworth is playing in the picture. It still smells like cigarettes from being at his house :/ kinda eerie. It was there when he passed away. Mine is on the top without a shell while I screw with tubes. It has 6L6GCs in it right now vs 6550s in the bottom one. I'll get it setup for KT88s pretty soon though probably.

I'll do a NAD thread once my finger heals. Sorry to get so off topic and hijack the thread Tim.

I don't own that one but I do have it here at my house right now. Mooresound is my buddy's amp company. Holdsworth took the amp home. When he passed Jason (Mooresound) was able to get the amp back. I went to his house 2 weeks ago and brought it home with me because there was one on Reverb for a good price. I wanted to try it out at my house before buying it.

Jason was working on a signature model for Allan. It was pretty much the same amp but with a couple of minor changes.

I got the Thresher as well. So far it seems nice. At the moment I only have the 10 inch speaker in my Super Champ X2 to plug it into though. Waiting on a 2x12 I ordered to come in. It does look like a 6l6 in there though. One thing I found odd though. The reverb tank doesn't have anything plugged in to the RCA jacks. It works so it must be direct wired or something. I've just never seen that before. Sound wise I would say it's a very transparent amp. Doesn't seem to have much of it's own character going on. It does seem to do well with the couple pedals I've tried though. I'll reserve final judgement for after I have something proper to plug it into though.
