I meant to take a picture on top of the Stratocaster I just sent @RedLesPaul to show the body size difference but I forgot before I got it all packaged up.

When are we going to get sound samples of all these monsters?

Ah I moved a month ago but sooner or later I'll put that rig back together and get some clips!

I'm VERY much looking forward to getting my grubby paws on that Strat :)

I prefer the classic Strat shape myself, but if that gets you all jazzed up, I can dig it. (y)

Hints of Mosrite in that picture. That's a good thing.

Here's an example of the body shapes....that belly cutaway makes all the difference in the world.

In my travels today I saw a Spectrum exactly like this for $25. Looks halfway between a Kramer and a Fender, no?

I've been eyeing a couple of Spectrum more traditional Strats to scoop up if cheap enough.

I did it, paid up the $25 for this Spectrum model AIL 57GB. Looks like a poor man's Beretta. Body is light, neck is on the chunky side, good fretwork with minimum wear, junk ceramic humbucker. It's in the neighborhood of Hadean or SX quality. I might do a hardtail 5150 with this, hot PAF in the bridge, bone nut, ditch the tone knob and fill in the hole, maybe move the jack to the side. Just a fun little beater.

I'd do that for $25 every day of the week.
