I'm trying to sell my Gianninni Craviola with a Fishman humbucker pickup. The original owner replaced the idiosyncratic pickguard with a POS. A guitar repairman friend managed to get it off, but there's still some glue residue on the top. I bought a fresh piece of pickguard material to cover the mess. I'm offering the guitar for sale with the pickguard blank, and also a 1/4" jack socket and a mini jack and mini plug—my original idea was to install the 1/4" jack so I could use a regular cord rather than have crap dangling out of the soundhole, and also run a lead inside from the 1/4" to the mini jack and plug so that I could dismount the pickup if I needed to. I wasn't intending to install volume and tone controls on the guitar, just run straight to an amp. My question is, do you think it would sell better if I did all that work, or leave that option up to a new owner?
