So at the request several members I would like to start this new thread. Continuing in the happy spirit of AGF unplugged 2018 contest.

Let's see some cool songs from our awesome members. You don't have to be great. Even the Beatles were amateurs once.

Even though I am the OP, this thread belongs to everybody. Play and sing and make up naughty ditties about your high school guidance councilor or something along those lines. Or maybe not so dirty LOL.

But play and sing and share. Spread joy. Have fun.

Should we "pin" this thread so it is always floating on top?

Thank you for the opportunity @Daneman

The beauty of a virtual open mic is no stage cage is required, you guys throw all the spoiled fruit, eggs and bottles you want.

I am deeply honoured to be the first in this thread, I dedicate it to Daneman who is an inspiration to us all, a fantastic community-minded member, who's total body weight is made up of possibly 50% heart. I also apologize for the following piece, which I do believe makes up for in "fun," what it may lack in "polish," and hope you all allow me to remain on the AGF Island and not vote me off in some tribal council or something, due to the content therein.

please fellas go'hed and let the sharing begin!

Was hoping to inspire lots of others that people would figure if that guy can do it I can certainly do one better. Come on, drink a beer and walk up on the stage.

Note: Guitar number 63 was in Premier Guitar Magazine August 2018.

Outstanding! Now that is art! I started smiling thinking of the possibilities from the few chords when I recognized it and then laughed all the way through.
Just brilliant. Not just bs lol but actual L O L

How long did this take to write?
Can we move this video to the first post in this thread? It should be the first thing you run into here.

You're just saying that 'cause I called you "cool," but thanks!
Took about an hour to write the lyrics, Arlo gave me the chords.

And no mention of avoiding the draft or the 8x10 photos from the police dept. I'll take the burger and fries hold the onion.

I can't tell you how entertaining this whole addition to the forum has been for me. The Troubadour genre is one of the oldest we have. Before "Media" , news of the day and fake news of the day were disseminated at town squares, drinking establishments and around campfires. I hope it encourages people ESPECIALLY to start singing.
Singing skills can be developed once the initial resistance is overcome. It is such an accessible "use" for an instrument. There are so many songs available to cover.I hope this continues and I hope more people post here and share their talents.

Yes the one lesson here is sing. With whatever you got. How many times were Dylan and Neil young told they couldn't sing. Just do it.
