Singing and playing have been tied probably since the beginning of music because the voice is the original (and still is) instrument. The desire to sing has to a great extent been suppressed in our modern world mainly I think due to the deification of popular singers many of whom barely have a voice but because of their celebrity have defined voice. Singing gets you out of your shell. It discloses your self-consciousness, it raises your energy, it ties you to something "inside". Sing gently, simply and discover your voice and the spirit behind it.
And as soon as you can nail a song, POST !

An idea I put together this morning having fun. Strummed a chord on the 8 string that sounded familiar. Add a couple more and then an octave bass in the mix on the strings (no octave pedal) and noodled a melody over that. Then I got on stage.

Hey Daneman, you really enjoy this! Congrats, man!

Are you using a multi effects pedal (amps/effects simulator) or a real amp? What is it? And did you record with a hidden mic in your shirt? Your voice is clear to the ear.

Hoping to upload one song or cover myself any time, let´s see how I do it.

    Keep at it!

    :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Just my Roland Cube 30x( Amp) sitting in the floor in front of me to the left and my phone in front of me, no other Mic needed. Lyrics on a music stand to the right. Just don't use the chords on the tab. Changes are in the wrong place.

Ok guys! I finally got some time to myself today and I'm off tonight, so I got to play a bit instead of just noodle. This started out at about 9:30am as me just playing around with the Digitech Trio again, and then saying to myself, "I'd better record this before I forget it." Then of course, layering, and before I knew it, it was 4:30pm and I was just finishing up. The lead guitars are the Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster and Fender MIM Black Label Stratocaster. The rest are the Epiphone Les Paul PTPro, Bad Cat Unicorn, Homemade Partscaster, and Blake Wright Custom 335 12-string. I hope to add lyrics at some point, that's why the verses are longer. Hope you guys like it.

    Chorus:
It's a song without words, just waiting to be wrote
It's verses and choruses, maybe add a bridge and
    Some solo notes
probably work in a breakdown, a musical shakedown
Plus an intro might be nice, some solo bass just might suffice

Happy Friday everyone! Here is my take on Wild Horses by the Stones...

I created the backing track with the digitech trio. If you want to give the backing track a spin give it a whirl here...

Very cool. One of those songs done in a way that you keep saying. I know this song. Do I know this song? Then the chorus hits you. Acoustic disco? :)

Here's one a friend of mine and I did over more than a few beers. He's on lead and I'm on acoustic rhythm and vocals.

Fun stuff. Cool old song. Did you change the vocal melody or chord stru. I only recognise the words and the chorus melody. From memory.
    Well done.
