Been a while, but I finally got some time to record something. I have a new position at work and have been doing some swing shifts during the summer. It's kicking my ass.

It's not that good of a recording, but it'll do for me. This is a cover of one of my favorite bands' (Screeching Weasel) songs. I was playing around with a new Trio+ that I got used for $150 off Craigslist. The guitar tracks are my most recent Firefly FF338. Thanks to anyone that listens!

Sounds cool. Kinda like from that Blink 182 era.

    Thanks guys!

The Blink 182 reference was a great compliment to me, since they are touted as fairly influential when I was a teenager/young adult. The band that wrote this tune was an influence on them, as they were/are to me.

Here we go guys! I got another one done! This is kind of a gift to my wife for our anniversary next month. Our wedding song! Our daughter sang it for me (she's 15 guys). The equipment is: Squier Classic Vibe 50s Tele for the leads; my homemade partscaster, Epi LP, Fender MIM Strat, same Tele, BC Rich Warlock, and the latest Firefly FF338 for the rhythms; Bently Series 10 bass; Zoom R24 for the drums, and all recorded on the Zoom R24. All of the guitars went through my Zoom G5 on different amp profiles that I set up.

Love the cover and I love the fact that you make music with your family!
    Great job!

    Thanks for the kind words!

My daughter's been kind of a PITA lately (some of that is her age, some is the influence of outside sources) and has gotten into some trouble, so it was a breath of fresh air to me for her to be interested in doing this with me. It was sweet watching her sing and try to get it better and better. She and I were the only one's home and I kept trying to get her to sing it louder (I had the level on the recorder all the way up and she wasn't even close to clipping) but she wouldn't. She's been in chorus class in school for the past 6 years, and she told me that she's "not supposed to stress her voice...…...like I do". I took her 3 best takes and blended them.

That's great. Wish I could of had more time w my kids doing this back then. Show her some Janis as the way to do it. I only just recently got my big voice going. Gargling whiskey is how I did it. :)

I've always love this one recorded by Gary Allan. Finally got around to recording it.

Good work. Its getting nice and smooth on rhinestone cowboy . And the singing is sounding very rich and resonant too. And the guitar is looking sharp. Congrats on getting out there. Well done

Damn, I want to contribute, but I feel like I am stuck in a rut. Too many half-written songs, finding little joy in cover tunes.
I am very glad to see and hear my brothers fretting these notes, and more importantly, belting these out vocally.
It's a huge step, and I applaud you guys for it.

Very nice. Now your homework is you need to write some words for it and do it again with singing. We are you :)

Hmmm... nobody told me I need to actually be able to play these things. You guys sound pretty good! I’ll contribute anyway, what the hell.
