Since I got my AL2800 Silverburst (I think it was one of the first batches of the new headstock/stubby horn ALs), I've always wanted to find an original headstock Agile. I saw this pop up on the local CL earlier in the week and knew I had to check it out. Saturday morning I drove out, checked it out, and practically threw my cash at the guy. I believe it's an AD-2200 circa 2003/2004? It looks like these all had LP Jr.-type tortoise guards, but the seller said this one was a Gibson guard. Very nice 3-ply b/w/b guard, and I like these better with dual pickups than the Jr guard. It's not a case queen, but it's still in very good condition--only "blemishes" are where he filled the original pickguard screws. Stock dual P90s, wraparound bridge. Came with a really nice SKB hardshell case--the case alone is probably worth $75-100 or so. Pickups are stock but electronics are upgraded w/ CTS goodies. All in all, I absolutely love it, and it was worth every penny. After a clean and polish and new set of strings, it really rocks. Raunchy P90 growl, has a cool Social Distortion vibe, and cleans up nicely by playing around with volume and tone knobs. It does have a bit of a neck dive, so I think a Well Hung strap is in order. Great guitar, very nice hardshell case, and a piece of Agile history at a very nice price. Definitely a great CL find!
