Trying to identify an older Agile I saw the other day. The salient features:

    - open book headstock
    - double cutway (like an LP JR)
    - flat top
    - 2 soapbar P-90s
    - 2x volume, 2x tone controls, with switch down by the knobs
    - wraparound tailpiece
    - dot inlays

Maybe an older AD-2200? But the one I saw had an LP JR-style pickguard, like these, despite having two pickups.

I remember those in images only. I think they were long gone by the time I arrived at Rondo.

I have an old headstock AD2200--the original pickguard (LP Jr style) was replaced with a Gibson LP Special-style guard. I'd love to find a single pickup Jr style! 2212a445ddd27bfb4502837e7e0a8441.jpg

I realized when I took these pics, if I ever need a weapon as a guitar it would be this or my HB Prinz copy.

Yes, sounds like an original AD-2200. The initial ones (like @pirate19 above) had dot inlays instead of blocks and a wraparound bridge. That's the style I had been trying to get Kurt to reissue. Instead we got that AD-2250 travesty:

Just because you don't like the upper horn doesn't make it a travesty .It's a well balanced great playing guitar.

Let me rephrase that: Considering all the time and energy I put into that project (@Mossman too) as well as the initial assurances from Kurt that it would be a relatively faithful reproduction of the original, it was a travesty....

@Mossman I just realized I have that same setup... a Champ & an Agile Jr.

The Agile AD/Specials look better with the wraparound & dots.

@tobijohn yeah the process from start to finish was pretty much SNAFU if not FUBAR.

Boy, those are really rare. If you have a chance to pick one up at a reasonable price...

I really don't need another guitar, but I might need one at a stoopid price.
