According to latest user agreement, if you need to give a refund, you will still be charged the processing fee.

I do not accept PayPal already due to the annoyance of waiting for the cash to transfer from my PayPal to my bank account not to mention the lower rate I pay to Reverb vs. PayPal for by using Reverb payments instead.

This is just one more reason to avoid PayPal in my opinion.

I only do cause you have to link your bank account for direct checkout.

I got that notice yesterday from PayPal as well - it does leave lots of exceptions to that rule - like duplicate payments or disputed transactions, etc. I've always had good luck with paypal and when i've had problems their CS folks have usually cleared things up. I know there's lots of hate out there for them but I still feel they are a worthwhile service to use.

Give it time , Etsy will raise the rates and tighten the rules.

I use them because for whatever reason, it always seems when I’m selling something, I get a buyer that doesn’t want to use anything but PayPal. So it gives buyers another option for me to get paid! Lol

I'll probably still take the risk on Reverb, but if I was starting my own business I'd be pretty keen to avoid PayPal. I've heard so many horror stories about them freezing money for days or weeks on end (e.g., after a large increase in sales is flagged as suspicious).
I probably would use Square but I literally owe one of the Founders of Square for my second career as a software developer.
