Aristides guitars are made of layered fiber and Arium,(resin based substance that dries filled with air bubbles) here is how they are made
    https://youtu.be/JqjJ5lpwgw0
the only wood used on most models
is the fingerboard, the 8 string models like Zacs feature no wood at all, even the fingerboard is composite.
i know they are not for everyone but i dig them and figured i would share

Zac is 18 and has been playing less than 5 years, he is playing a 8 string guitar that contains no wood at all
through a digital amp modeler! so much The Future!

    Jose with the same model

    good review

    monuments enjoying there Aristides

That's pretty cool. I have a Switch Wild Signature IV guitar with a body made of Vibracell and a fretboard of Ebonite (yes, like the bowling balls). I LOVE that guitar!

I would be willing to bet that in a few years you'll be able to just print your own guitar bodies on a home 3D printer.

I like the orange one. And, as far as the material goes, if it works, it works. I have to fight my tendency to get a hate-on for certain woods, but in the end, the results are what matters.

Of course, at that price, the guitars had damn well better sound good.

I always like seeing people's effects chains and amps on these vids. Pretty interesting to see the evolution and cycles. I think you saw a lot of folks turning away from some of the rack equipment in the 90's and going back to separate heads and cabs, and now you see a lot of rack stuff coming back with all of the modeling technology. That and a huge return of combo amps with better pro audio.

Pretty much already done. The computer files are available, the printers are mostly sitting at "Maker Faire" locations waiting for you.
I think you can buy 3D printers through Sam's Club or CostCo already, but they're not big enough (as I recall) for a whole body.

I've been waiting for the ability to print bodies for years ! But if we are going that far...I want a printer that can do this :

(my only worry is that it will use up my cartridge)

OLLY STEELE with his 060 with BareKnuckle Juggernaut pick ups and True Temperament frets,
No wood used in this guitars construction he is also playing
through an AXEFX amp simulator, his tone is insane.
