Man this feels like the end of a very long journey. I started looking into high-marking my Telecaster early last October. As part of the process I sold off a couple of guitars to have the cash I needed. I also wanted to see if a 7.25" radius would suit me. So far - so good...
This purchase was all made more challenging by - what is it they say? "Location, Location, Location." Let's just say that a 70 mile round trip to the nearest guitar store adds to the challenge to trying out gear. Add to that the lack of inventory and you have a whole lot of triangulation and supposition leading to what we call an "informed" decision. To be honest, I'm not sure this is any better than saying "I like red guitars" but there you have it.
Big shoutout to Sweetwater for being awesome. I love the way they sell specific guitars by serial number, listing everything right down to the weight of the guitar. Add to that a slightly better than 15% discount and a free buyers remorse return and you've got a class A buying experience.
Now I could bore you with the "over hill over dale" delivery experience but I know what you boys are waiting for so here it is:

I'm going to spare you the review until I've had a chance to play her a bit more. I will say two things - first, that a brand new lacquer guitar fresh from the factory has a seductive almost auto paint shop aroma and second, the included tweed case is bloody gorgeous.

    Looks real nice, congrats.
I wish there was case like that that is Tele specific so there isn't end to end movement

Is that a translucent white, i.e similar to that used on Mary Kay Strat's? Pretty Git BTW.

I was just reading all about this model the last week. Very high marks with these. Everyone's was intending to mod them but there's nothing to mod.

That thing looks bad ass. Very nice nod to the mid 50's whiteguards, which I've come to appreciate more & more.

How much are these going for?

List is $899 with case - I got this one for $740 with case. The only mod I might do is replacing the steel saddles with brass to mellow the bridge pickup just a bit.
