Man this feels like the end of a very long journey. I started looking into high-marking my Telecaster early last October. As part of the process I sold off a couple of guitars to have the cash I needed. I also wanted to see if a 7.25" radius would suit me. So far - so good... This purchase was all made more challenging by - what is it they say? "Location, Location, Location." Let's just say that a 70 mile round trip to the nearest guitar store adds to the challenge to trying out gear. Add to that the lack of inventory and you have a whole lot of triangulation and supposition leading to what we call an "informed" decision. To be honest, I'm not sure this is any better than saying "I like red guitars" but there you have it. Big shoutout to Sweetwater for being awesome. I love the way they sell specific guitars by serial number, listing everything right down to the weight of the guitar. Add to that a slightly better than 15% discount and a free buyers remorse return and you've got a class A buying experience. Now I could bore you with the "over hill over dale" delivery experience but I know what you boys are waiting for so here it is: I'm going to spare you the review until I've had a chance to play her a bit more. I will say two things - first, that a brand new lacquer guitar fresh from the factory has a seductive almost auto paint shop aroma and second, the included tweed case is bloody gorgeous.
