Its been a new guitar month for me so far lol got this bargain musician spalted maple in the mail today!

nice guitar for the 184.00 price again
weighs 7.8lbs top looks great only flaw on the whole guitar i can find is 2 spots on binding on neck that looks like piece of trash got in clearcoat when cleared . since its at top beside nut and other bottom at 21 fret ill never feel it anyway, other than those its a nice solid clean build

plays nice once i tuned up and adjusted rod string are at 1.5mm and actually intonated from the box which was surprising as the bagain musician sg3 guitar wasnt.

sound good plays good, 43mm nut, no feedback or ground hum issues. body is a tad over 1 3/4 thick
pretty happy with it, def a great mod platform like any cheapo guitar, has mini pots ,china tuners and all but pickups sound bette than agile 2500 to me clean and clear lower output

wish the finish was more wild looking its kinda plain for spalted maple but cant complain for so cheap

Nice looking but those chicoms just will not stop with their red backed guitars will they. MAybe they have 1000s of gallons of red satin left over from Mao redecorating the royal palace?
    :)

fret works nice, edge frets a little sharp but not bad at all, easy to knock them down. neck strait and level. really nice for this price point, def needs some cream knobs on it.

id say its better than a oscar schimdt oe20 builds

That is really nice looking! How about black plastics and knobs? I think it would make the spalt "pop".

    This. Exactly this.
I hate spalted wood, but that is one gorgeous guitar.
I like the red back, also.
