Picked this little number up today amidst all the corona panic. I think I got a great deal.

I’ve been looking for a Fender amp for a bit now. This is my first Fender amp since my mom’s ex bf’s old original Showman (pretty sure it was a Showman, head and two cabs, full stack) from the 60’s that I had when I was like 13....we lost it in a basement flood.

For some reason I haven’t been into Fenders until I started playing with more guitars than a Les Paul.

    Welp....not sure what’s left to GAS for....maybe a Dumble?!?!

That is the holy trinity. Congrats! I'd love to get my hands on a Princeton.

Congrats. I give you credit for picking it up in these times. I have bypassed 2 great deals because of this, not because I am afraid of contracting the CV but because I am afraid of passing it on to my family if I come into contact with it somehow. I just miss hunting for deals!!! You have a nice collection of ams

That is a nice collection of amps and a Princeton is a nice one to have. Is that a reissue?

Congrats with the nice amp! If you cant resist a deal like this, you can always use a 52 gallon trash bag, toss the amp in there, Lysol it, close the bag then drive it home. :hearteyecat:

yes it’s a reissue, the amp wrap is supposed to be called Fawn. I’m not sure what year these were.

My friend was a marshall guy for a while. Since when he bought the fender amp he switched since then.

Personally I like tools, and this is another tool in the shed. Sometimes you need a hammer, and sometimes you need a paintbrush. This amp is more like a paintbrush.

    Definitely a pinceau paint brush!
Besides being reissue, did they add something like on the back...?
ooops wanna ask you this on the greenback speaker combination. Does the your new Princeton breakup nicely beyond blues?

I haven’t gotten the opportunity to crank it yet, my kids go back to mom’s tomorrow so you know I’ll have this thing throttled! Lol

    I’ll let you know.

So far, out of all the amps I pictured, the Ampeg actually sounds the best clean AND with OD pedals on it. But I haven’t had a chance to fully mess with the Princeton yet.

I’m using an Angry Driver for OD running on the parallel setting.

yes depending on the tone your after for. I was just wondering what kind of breakup he's getting lets say on a rock sound. The greenback tends to have a nice warm breakup. vs the weber are known to be like a bell sounding speakers.
