I recently purchased a KingOne F8 Bluetooth speaker to replace an old one whose battery had fizzled out. This seemingly is identical to the Doss Soundbox Touch which is marketed in the US but not available here. I paid about $26 dollars.

    The Good:

Easy connectivity and better range than my old speaker. Connects easily even with my 10 yr old notebook with Bluetooth dongle even older than that.

Good sound and actually good bass response for its size.

Nice touch volume control on top just run your finger in a clockwise OT counter clockwise motion to either raise or lower volume respectively.

Great battery life.. At 2200ma it lasts pretty much 10 to 12 hours on a charge which takes about 3 hours to full.

Solid construction with all metal protective grill.

    Dual 6 watt speakers

Comes in a nice metal box which is now serving as a candy receptacle on my desk.

    The bad:

Chinese voice prompts in addition to English. Chinese logo where the American version says Doss.

Ordered black model but was sent gold...what can you do. . Ha ha

I try not to walk between my Bluetooth speaker and the signal device. The magic invisible waves are dangerous.

I'm not so sure the waves are simply linear and its likely they are all around you and just don't target the connected device. Same with WIFI and Radio and TV signals...not to mention all the microwave communications equipment that provides cell service and NSA monitoring tech.

Psuedo hi-fi, as we know it today, is a hell of a bargain.

I like a good, cheap, skinny bluetooth speaker. I strap 'em to my bike (headphones are too dangerous). I paid $11 each for a couple of these, and they've taken a beating. And they are loud enough to alert walkers ahead of me to get the hell out of the way.

This week's bicycling hit of the week: "Train, Train" by Blackfoot. Makes me feel badass.

That's cheaper than a Louisville slugger and easier to handle whilst riding too !

I stand by my beliefs. The invisible magic beam gives me explosive and crippling gas.

Perhaps you can try some old school technology:

I have one of the JBL Charge 3 speakers. Really great sound for the price, one of the best out there. JBL's bluetooth stuff is great.
