I wonder how close to the original Tri-sonics the pickups in this one sound? They also have a LP style set neck on Amazon for $165 shipped. I'll have to check later to see if they offer any left-handed models..

Well it is gone now. Did someone here grab it? Would like to hear about it as they have an SG copy I've been eyeing.

Anyone have any experience with the "Ivy" brand?

This one intrigues me. I don't think I've seen a neck-thru PRS style at this price point before ($286). Ooh, a SEVEN piece neck.
The inlays are bit of a turn-off though.

Did some more research. They are a Vietnamese company, though the guitars are sold directly by Amazon here in the states. Reviews so far are very positive (with the exception of the inlay work on a semi-hollow sister guitar of the one above). With Amazon's return policy, it might be worth taking a shot...

Here's another one that caught my eye. Fully bound semi hollow with a Bigsby for $268?

I don't know this make but it looks near enough to Dillion's version to make me believe they're from the same factory. Sound seems to be good (at least on the Dillion), but being a huge May fan, that one looks like a Red Special that's been left out in the sun . I have a hard enough time fighting my OCD with mine having a Wilkinson trem rather than the original knife-edge. Having said that, I owned one of the limited Guild models and actually prefer my new one (from Brian's company)

Mine (you can really tell the difference between the IYV one and the 'official' ones here):

Isn't Made In Vietnam the new Made In Korea? And MIK is the new Made in Japan. And MIJ is basically as good as Made in the USA.
So applying the basic mathematical transitive property, we can say with scientific certainty that these guitars are pretty delicious looking.

    Here's another for $208:

Now that is one I would definitely be interested in. Looks like a neck-thru. I just wonder what the catch would be seeing how it's so cheap. If it's nothing other than crappy electronics then it may be a fun modding platform. Hummmmm

None of the markup of well known brands, and enjoying Amazon's buying and distribution power. I'm considering putting up a couple of old guitars for sale this weekend, and if they sell to take the plunge here...
My worry is that many of these resemble well known brands, and once the word gets out, Amazon will get a letter from their lawyers and stop selling them. Not worth their time.

    No lefties.
    But that never stopped Jimi.

Either you got a really good one, or your photography skills are much better than Brian's. Here's an official picture of an original BM signature:

I think Brian hires Kurt to take his stock photos. I have modded mine very slightly with knobs copied from Brian's own guitar, a trem arm tip (just a Strat one) and the star sticker faithfully copied from Brian's star inlay courtesy of @rmfroyd

Just to compare, since mine is an admittedly arty shot, here's a non-arty version of the same guitar before the new knobs went on. It's just a snap, but still better than the site photo:

Also FWIW, I think the Dillion copy has a longer scale...

If the Red Special was available as a lefty, I'd be in for one.

I believe it is from Brian May's company, I think they're around $750 at the current exchange rate. There's a Dillion copy on eBay that's been relisted several times. I've been watching it and waiting for the seller to take offers:
