she KILLS me[hr]
i would die a happy man....
right? I mean seriously, I cannot imagine what it must be like to have spent a night in bed with her. Just one.
Emmie Lou is the real deal. She did a lot of cameos, but never strayed from her roots.
...and hotter than a dam firecracker... on the 4th of JU-ly. Gotta accent the first syllable the say it right.
Yup, one night in that bed...
...would surely have led to TWO nights in that bed. :baddevil:
she could pop my balloon any day or night. :hitit:[hr]
Yes, yes, yes.....
Quite some time ago there was a "Before-n-after" thread here.
Women who did NOT age gracefully.
Well, Emmylou was gorgeous and talented 40 years ago, and still is today.
Who else can we say THAT about?
Everyone I know who knows her personally says she is a lady in the finest sense of the word.
well, Dolly Parton looks good, and so does Tina Turner. But who knows how much work they've had done.
i've always had quite a thing for Hayley williams. not exactly the same as emmylou but definitly a major celebrity crush
Steve Earle recorded with Emmy Lou. He wrote on the album sleeve that he had never met her until then. He said she walked into the studio took a bite out of his cheeseburger and he's never been the same.

She used to live a few miles from me when she was married to Paul Kennerly. Way back then I was on the same plane with her twice, and I used to see her at the grocery and out shopping quite often over the years. She's hard to miss with that beautiful silver hair. She's a knock out, alright.
Way back in my day, though, this gal was more my type, looks wise:
Granted, though, the years have been much kinder to Emmylou.
When I lived in D.C. back in the early 70's, a friend of one of my roomate's kept talking about a singer that played at a bar near Capital Hill called The Chancery. He would just go on and on about how beautiful she was and her perfect voice and how in love with her he was. We all finally went over one night to see her and it was a young Emmylou Harris. I saw what all the fuss was about; wow. And to be as talented as she was beautiful just made her even more special. She grew up in Virginia and had worked her up to the big city, and then a year or so after we saw her she was headed to L.A. and the big time.
She is one lady that is just as beautiful today as she was way back then. And I too have always heard that she is a very nice person.
I had the pleasure of meeting Emmylou in person when she performed at our venue several years ago. She asked me while she was doing sound check if I could play catch with her dog until her assistant came back. Of course I obliged. She just as beautiful in person as the pictures. Very kind and gracious at the after concert party too.
Emmylou is a beautiful and graceful lady. I've always been a fan of Nanci Griffith, a singer/writer very comparable to Emmylou Harris. She's always been beautiful, with a beautiful voice. It's just been the last few years that she has finally started showing her age.
