    $10 more?

    FF doesn't compare to Rondo.

My 30 day FF FB page snooze lapsed. They're all frothing over the candy like colors of the LP's and shit. No thanks.

The days of the FF deals are over :(. Actually If I didn't already have 3 semi hollows I'd probably buy the last Goldtop I see on Amazon right now.

As nuts as those folks might be ( and believe it or not there are 5 or 6 "spin off" FB groups for firefly now too ), it's hard to dispute that they sell a shitoad of guitars. When they posted that batch of 338's early yesterday AM there were over 400 available in the 4 colors they posted. I think there were 85 goldtops available when I first saw them yesterday AM and all of them sold by the evening. Both the ice tea and walnut were over 100 in stock at the beginning of the day and the ice tea is down to about 15 and something like 40 for the walnut. So that's close to 300 guitars sold in less than 24 hours. And even at $149 the 338 is still a pretty ridiclous deal, especially with free shipping and no-hassle returns.

I bit on an Ice Tea as I had planned on it - hope the 2nd time is the charm as my first had to go back.

I wouldn't bite on the $66 B-stocks because of the issues. What would the chance of me buying at $76?

I consider FF's about SX/Hadean equivalent. Those come/came in under FF price point & without issues (unless you consider staggered ferrules an issue), but i'm comparing the days when I was buying from Rondo to current FF fever.

After having a couple of them I think that's a fair comparison quality wise. Having said that, I don't think SX or Hadean ever had a semi-hollow like a 335 clone did they? I think the the 338 is still pretty unique in being a 335 clone in it's price range of less than $150.

BTW - looks like the Ice Tea sold out too, only about 25 of the walnut left but still plenty of matte black.

long ago SX and Douglas both had semi-hollows.

    EG-6 I want to say. (yup: https://www.rondomusic.com/eg6cusna.html)

and I can't remember the Douglas 335 style
    (looks like SHM
    https://www.rondomusic.com/shm90.html)

I think Hadean was too late to have anything other than Fender style or LPs...Kurt had given up on most other traditional 6 string options by the time they popped up...

You are 100% correct. I was comparing the t-styles, but as honyock pointed out the SX & Douglas semis were pretty damn close price wise, & we know their quality. I've never seen that semi/P90 version. That is bad assery.

I bought this EG6 long ago & it lives in the beautiful case it came with. I've had some Toneriders to put in it for awhile & keep shuffling it off.

I also had the EG5. It had a slightly thicker neck.
