Here is the website if anybody wants to look around, some familiar models here. Some of these are branded as Douglas and sold through Kurt.

That looks sweet. I'd be awesome if Kurt asked them to make a Baritone Superstrat for 150-170 price bracket.

So how come that Kurt says that Douglas are made in China

I know there are a lot of Douglas guitars that look the same as Shine, like this one http://www.saein.co.kr/2007/eg/wrl590nt.php or this one http://www.saein.co.kr/2007/eg/sr1.php

Because the Saein factory making the douglas guitars is in china. Not much of a mystery.

"In February, 2001, we have successfully launched a new independent factory in Gaomi City, China. It is only an hour away from Qingdao Shandong province. Our China factory employees are 300 people, and our monthly capacity is 10,000pcs still growing to expand as well. We are an OEM vendor for famous brand Ibanez, and Peavey. Also, our solely branded Shine is gradually expanding. We have become one of the famous leading guitar manufacturer in China."

The intonation on the D string of that WRL 500 looks funky. I've never seen a saddle set so far up from the rest.
