I just got hit for duties and an inspection fee from US Customs on my latest Thomann order. The documentation they attached said I owed $25.55 but for some reason, USPS just charged me $13.25. This is like my eighth order from Thomann and the first time that happened.

@Brendan told me the same thing has happened to him in the past on orders from Japan. On one he got hit and another nothing. it must be a random thing as there's no way every package can be inspected.

I'm not going to cry about it though. I got a couple of really nice B-stocks, a cherry HB-35Plus (335 copy) and a TE-90QM (flame top P90 slimline Tele) for less than $325 shipped:

Listening to their sound samples, I really like the Indie sound.

I'm going to go take my old man nap. If I have time before the Bears/Packers game tonight, I'll try to take some pics. I've got those, a Reverend Manta Ray HB and an $80 shipped Starfire teardrop with a stripped truss rod nut I need to post about...

It's one with a Turquoise flame finish. It has a body bigger than I thought it would be, a little smaller than an AS820/1000 and larger than a Harm. Build quality is just about as good as anything else I have too...

Yeah, it worked out pretty well for the first half anyway.

Haven't seen to many HB's lately - what was the motivator to go that route again TJ?

I'm literally nauseous as to how that game turned but what can you do when Aaron Rodgers apparently has a pact with the devil? The last couple of years were great because the Bears obviously sucked and I just didn't care. If i wanted to take a nap on Sunday or get something done around here, I would and not miss the games one bit. This year I got my hopes up again. hell of a way to start the season...

As for the HBs, the usual: the price seemed right and I have no self-discipline. They're both winners though, The TE90QM was from Thomann's DEKO section and only $80. They're sold without warranty for decorative purposes only. I was not aware of them until @SalteeDog mentioned it a few weeks ago. Sometimes the guitars are unplayable but usually it's something minor and repairable. The only thing I could find wrong with it were some uneven and rough spots on the binding in the sound holes and a small indentation in the finish on the back just under the neck plate. The HB-35 apparently was just a showroom model or a fickle return as I can't find anything wrong with it...

Sounds like a good score. I can't remember the last time I heard of a guitar being literally sold and for "decorative purposes only", if ever. You'll have to come up with a song or something for that phrase.

I was feeling a little nauseous myself when Aaron went down with the injury - that would have been our season again no question. I was actually envisioning Randall Cobb coming in to play QB ( he's third string ) just for entertainment purposes.

You know what, don't jump off that cliff just yet TJ. You've got an absolute beast on defense now, I love the coach's moxy, and I really like that Turbisky kid. You've got something there. Let's keep watching! :)

That was scary. They must have shot the area up with the good stuff to keep him going. I would worry about how he is next week. I've got mad respect for him though. He's got cojones the size of truck tires. Thought the backup did a great job, too.

It's under the Accessories category. @SalteeDog has apparently scored some incredible deals. It's worth keeping an eye on if you're not afraid of ordering from Thomann because it looks like a lot of the stuff can be less than half price:

Where does that money go; to the black abyss to be applied to the $21 Trillion national debt? It'll cost more to process the money than the value of what they collected.

Don't complain TJ, next time you may get hit with the new federal tariffs and have to pay $2555.00 :)
