Let's go dude, we can take out loans to get some beautiful and cheap property in Europe, pay it off and then retire with guitars in the house and chickens in the backyard to make eggs for food :)

    that's a plan!

I have been looking at property in Spain, and it's already crazy cheap. Hard to believe it might very well get even cheaper.

well, let me put it this way. I live in NYC, where a 1-bedroom apartment can easily cost a million dollars. Since, all my family is Texas, I've been thinking of moving back there, so I look at real estate there and am just BLOWN AWAY by how much cheaper homes are there. Well, the homes in Spain make Texas look expensive.

For example, here's a 1-bedroom apartment near the beach for $53k:

    or here's a 2-bedroom near beach for $81.7k

    this is the beach

My rent is $21,900/year on a 2 bedroom but with a roommate. However high chance I'll be moving soon and depending on where that is my cost will go way up. SFO for example will just be insanit without a roommate where as STL will be tolerable even without a roommate

If the US stock market does not stop going down...nobody gonna be buying any Bentons or much of anything else I'm afraid.

As soon as it dips below the greenback I'll place my next order. As to property in Spain, don't forget the Azores in Portugal as well, they had a run on real estate a while back (blame ze Germans) but there are dealios there and it's just gorgeous there as well,
