I like the totally unfinished ones, especially the quilted maple top. They even have the "lawsuit" headstock and more or less correct horn. I wonder if the body is a full 2" thick at the edge.

Looking at the binding and excess glue on the unfinished ones, I would spend the $20 more and get a finished body.

I agree, after finishing a couple of kits that had glue stains, they're impossible to remove without sanding a hole in them LOL

Yeah that glue can penetrate the wood pretty deep depending on the grain. With GFS you gotta roll with it. The finished/painted set neck teles have a horrible neck join area look. Lazy. I bought an unfinished specifically to do it "right".

I gotta give GFS props though. I got some great stuff the last year coupled with some good communication this past week. Now to get it done.

You might get lucky, or you can try to conceal it a little. My single P90 GT kit has a little mark on it on the natural backside.

Did you notice Rondo also has unfinished AL's in again?

I may bite on one just so I can practice doing a belly cut and upper neck access like on the 3200.
