This is a Guild CV-2 which is part of Guild's Contemporary series acoustics made at their Tacoma plant from 2006-2008. This is my second Contemporary Series Guild. They have a 1-3/4" nut width and neck profile, which suits my hands better than Guild's normal skinny necks. It is basically Guild's F-40 body, which is in-between a grand orchestra and dreadnaught in size. This one is a 2007 CV-2 with a spruce top, maple back and sides, and ebony fingerboard and bridge in an ice tea finish. It is in absolute immaculate condition, not a scratch on it, and it sounds magnificent. The maple gives it a bit brighter tone than my cedar/rosewood CV-1, but it is still very rich sounding with nice balanced tone. Speaking of maple, the back is one of the nicest I've ever seen! The pictures don't begin to give it justice!

    So on to the pictures...

Really nice guitar! Guilds are great. Congrats!

Nothing better than a new acoustic. My only Guild is a 1959 archtop made in Hoboken, N.J.

Love my guild... I have the 12 string jumbo A/E they do for about 500 or 600 bucks, and it slays guitars twice its price. Great workmanship, great tone. Congrats!

Wow - the back on that is stunning. The rest of it looks quite nice too. I think I need to learn more about Guild guitars

Shame what Fender did to Guild and Tacoma. Thank goodness Guild is now owned by Cordoba and in the hands of Ren Ferguson once again. Tacoma however is no more. Had a Tacoma build Guild D55 for a spell. Stolen but covered by home owners insurance. Pretty sure I know who did it but it would seem Karma got him before I did. Today I play a pre Fender Tacoma DM9cef. Not much to look at but what an incredible guitar.

Ren is long gone from Guild/Tacoma.

Stormin' - beautiful Guilds! Wish they would bring back the F40 shape guitar. I have an OM that I really like but might be enticed by an F40. I looked for a GAD F40P for the longest time. It has an ebony board and 1-3/4" nut width with a traditional C shape but they seem to be as rare as hens teeth. Congrats on the add to your pack!
