It's been a long winter and we've had only two nice weekends since April. I'm thankful that we don't have tornadoes or flooding, but this has got to stop.

That said, the West needs the water. This late-season snow doesn't add much to the snow pack but it slows the melt.

Been running mid 90's for a couple of weeks now.
Down into the mid 70's at night.
No rain in sight as far out as the wx forecasts go.

Best May in AZ in my 14 years here...

we have only had a couple days above 95 I think.

The past week's weather pattern has produced days in the upper 70s to low 80s. Pretty much perfection.

Turned out to be a nice evening. I'm going to cast a feeler for an AGF rally here in Steamboat this summer (July or August, maybe September). I can get as many or as few gigs as we want. The coolest practice room ever. Camping, fishing etc. Stay tuned.

This season was the most winter I'd ever seen. Rain, snow, mud, you name it. Now instead of heavy waterfall, it swings from 90s hot to 40 cold at any whismy it feels.

I've been in El Paso the past two weeks and there have been some days that were surprisingly nippy. But it was warm and sunny today. Most of the days have been sunny and temperate.

In the 40's and blustery rain. Rain predicted for the next seven days. Snowbird broke an annual snowfall record today; over 700 inches. Talking about extending skiing till the 4th of July. Picture taken today.

Mid/upper 80s and clear for a couple weeks now. Think we're in an El Nino year so clear skies and less rain. Grass is already starting to get crunchy.

And the newest black sand (lava rock) beach on the island. Formed with last year's eruptions.

    700 inches. Damn.

Guys, for the purpose of scale, 400 inches is a huge season at any Colorado ski resort. I heard that Tahoe had closed. Plowing got too expensive and digging out the ski lifts wasn't profitable.

My girl friend passed over the Hoover damn a couple weeks ago and said the bathtub ring on Lake mead was almost gone which if true is great news for the west. Those last few feet though take millions of acre feet to fill.

Utah is in the high desert. Salt Lake City looks like Ireland!

I'll trade you snow for F3-F4 tornado warnings and the sleepless nights which accompany them, here in Missouri?

Thunder is currently booming. More rain is not exactly what we needed.
