When I saw this for sale here on the forum I wanted to cry. I was pretty sure it would be gone quickly. I knew I could put it on a card, but the wife probably wouldn't like it. Long story short she said yes but no more new gear for 6 months. Luke packaged this really good, and after what seemed like forever, she finally arrived. Thank you Luke !!!

This guitar is rather cool. It's like a 335 and a LP had a kid. It's actually heavier than my AS-1000.

The back is a 3 pc slab, that has been hollowed out to create chambers, and the top is all carved out from a maple slab as well.

Unplugged this thing sounds wonderful. Plugged in I had to adjust my eq a bit on the amp, but I love it.

There has been some discussion about what the fret board is on these. This one sure looks like ebony.

Porn just cause she's so hot. LOL. I love how the color is almost tiger eye.

A couple shots with my AS-1000 so that you can see the size difference.

Beautiful! I'd buy one with that finish in a short minute if Rondo ever offered a lefty version...

Nope, no lefties were ever available.

@Daneman ::: Glad you got it. A guitar like that needs a good home. :)

Daneman, I am super-happy for you. That is an absolutely gorgeous guitar, and I would like to have one myself. I wish I could justify buying one, but I have barely played at all for a long time now. You got a real beauty there, and a unique model to boot!

    Congrats Daneman.
I have one of those and a white one. Great semi - hollows.
My rootbeer FB color and grain sure looks like ebony. The white one looks like rosewood, color and grain, as was described at Rondo.

FWIW, do some research on the Gibson CS-336 to read about the original model that these AS-2000s' are built like.
Wildwood Guitars with great guitarist Greg Koch demo a bunch of them. You (& your wife;-) might be surprised at how expensive they are, and how many owners in forums praise the CS-336 build.

H(barely used)NGD! That's a looker for sure and makes a nice companion to the big brother AS. May you play it in good health and good fortune for many moons to come!

Okay, I'll keep that in mind.

I just took the pups out of my rootbeer as it was too similarly pupped to the white one. Both with similarly low output WCR humbuckers. So the rootbeer's pups went into the Liquid/humbucker and sounds really good there, and the rootbeer is now waiting for funds to put some TV Jones filltertron/powertron/supertron variety in it. That would be very different from the White one, and a nitch of pup I dont have and want. I'm leaning toward supertron neck, classic-plus in bridge.
