Glad you're moving from ICU to a regular room . Did the ICU thingtwice and never want to be there again. Anyone who thinks nurses are sweethearts has neve met an ICU nurse in action.

I think moving out of ICU is the type of occasion that is best celebrated by buying a new guitar!

Glad to hear you are heading in the right direction.

Most nurses in Post Op care are brutal. I had outpatient surgery to remove a tumor in my shoulder. When I woke up, the nurse had a handful of painkillers and I told her I'd rather not take them unless the pain became unbearable later. She basically jammed them in my mouth and forced me to swallow them and simply said.."protocol...don't be so difficult"

I'm glad to see you back, TJ. Wishing you continued speedy recovery.

I know it's hard to cut them slack when you're in a position that you need them, but there's a whole world involved in that gig that you never see or know about. I'm not saying that there aren't poor nurses, but the ones who can keep any semblance of good attitude are no less than superhuman. It's a rough job, and it's only getting tougher for them.

@rrobbone I was for sure not picking on them. ICU is a tough gig espescially to work it day in , day out. Just meant that due to the nature of working there they are a tough minded bunch not willing to put up with much foolishness at work.

OK..I'll give you that.. But shorter skirts like the nurses wear in porn movies would go a long way to make the whole experience better...:)

You should have seen the nurses here when my late wife was in ICU a couple of years ago. You would have thought you were on the set of a porn flick! :)

Yeah, a far more better unit than the old TJ800.

    He is a collector.

But he´s better known as THE GUITARNATOR

    The new TJ2000 @tobijohn

I'm going to say that this really depends on which nurse we're talking about.

@tobijohn - Prayers & mojo to you. If you are at Mayo in Rochester, head over to Dave's Guitar in La Crosse before you head home. It will defintely help your recovery.
