I mentioned this in the IVY thread. I think it had sold out the first go round.

The neck size turned me off after the reviews came in. Still, it looks like a cool guitar.

I've looked at the IVY Mustang a few times. I'm most turned on by it's punctual manufacturing. I hate it when guitars are made late.

If I were in buying mode, I'd be watching this one - a small bodied semi hollow with a Bigsby. Price is dropping a little every day. Last time it happened, it reached around $200 before darting back up to $268.
The green LP was OOS, but now has one left. The strat is also dropping in price a little, now at $104 (normally $128).
The Semi hollow PRS copy was OOS for a good year, but is back, also dipping in price currently.

What was the issue with the neck - just curious.

Price is good, but I wouldn't expect too much from the guitar, except maybe as a modding platform with some work.
Not sure it is any better than the $50 ebay strats that are always available.

OTOH, reviews are good for the Grote, and Amazon's return policy is stellar. Who's willing to take a plunge for the team?

I have a $50 IRIN strat. The fat neck alone is worth it.
The reviewers mention how thin & narrow it is.

Did anyone receive one of these?

I ordered one (for my grandson, honest) & it never shipped, never received update from manufacturer, just sat in my orders waiting to ship. Now shows as 'currrently unavailable'. It was supposed to arrive by today, but never did ship. So I finally cancelled the order. I bought 2 other IVY/IYV guitars & really like them, but not at all pleased with the customer service on this one.

Grandson's birthday is 10/1, so I will have to find another guitar for him.

That's a bummer. I did see that either GC or MF had the Squire Bullet mustang on sale for almost the same price. Similar size and scale and there seems to be a lot of good reviews of that one.

If you're still interested, they're back. There's 5 of them now.

@mighty_duck Thanks for the heads up, but I have moved on. They were there for a couple days after I ordered, but it never did ship.

unfortunately that was all sold out when I got there, but hey the semi hollow is interesting, and not horribly overpriced.

The beatle bass Is nice too and THAT is priced to sell!

looking through the reviews be interesting to see if these are really IVY's or IYVs?
Someone goes into detail about what IYV means and how great they are etc.....

BTW: just a posting tidbit, you know you can edit all the way back to the FIRST BXXXXXX number in an amazon address and still get where you're going:

    www.amazon.com/ISMF-200-VW-Solid-Body-Electric/dp/B0107B9KSO

found that out a while back, makes posting from your phone INFINTELY easier

I'm still holding my breath for one of those hollowbodies to be in stock again.

    Didn't someone here get one?
