I just purchased a Jackson JJ style guitar. I haven't found any info on this certain model. It has a single humbucker, single volume, Bolt on maple neck with rosewood fret board, and Wilkinson tremolo. Its finished in a sunburst finish. I cant find any with the wilkinson tremolo. I was curious what year and where it was made. Any info would be appreciated 20200325_181056.jpg

Jackson made a bunch of JJ models, it was their take on a Gibson double cut Jr. Some were USA made, others Japanese. Pretty unpopular guitars in the Jackson catalog and thus you don’t often see ‘em. Scott Ian from Anthrax played them and had several signature models.

Not a ton of info out there but there was a single hum model with the Wilky bridge, I’ve seen one or two before (though usually in black, not sunburst). Those were imports I believe, not USA.

As for the year, I think they made them from the about ‘94 to the early 2000s. If you provide a serial number I can date it for you pretty accurately or just check out the Jackson serial database online.

This is the only numbers on the guitar. Thank you so much for the info.

I got it for $125 off craigslist yesterday with the SKB case. Liked it because it was something different.

Nice grab! They’re solid guitars, just not very popular. Is there anything stamped into the end of the fretboard? That’s where these JJ models typically had serial numbers.
