    But it's going back.

Large rivet there in the last fret, a lot of raised/crooked frets, the wood around the frets looks damaged. Lots of problems with the neck in general. Also arrived with some scratches on the body, and the binding was really messed up in spots.

Hopefully the second one is a winner, though. But for 399 I was hoping for a lot better. I'm willing to give it a second chance just for this awesome color.

Wow, that's about as bad a case of QC on an Agile as I ever seen. I hate to have to welcome you AGF under these circumstance but welcome. Definitely let us know how things turn out...

When I said let us know how things turn out, I meant let us know if you're just going to return it for a full refund or definitely exchange it for another one as you mentioned. One thing Kurt (the owner of Rondo) is great about in a situation like this is taking care of his customers...

Wonder if that damage has anything to do with the difficulty of working with stainless steel frets. Those suckers are hard.

Yeah, I was really shocked by this one due to how much everyone loves Agile, and at this price it's on the higher end of the Agile brand.

I already submitted the form to get a replacement, so hopefully the second one to arrive is a winner. It does look like they struggled with the frets on this. I'd gladly trade the stainless frets for a Floyd instead. The frets definitely aren't the selling point here - Nickel would have been fine.

If the second one has problems I'll probably get a refund.

Does it indicate which country it's made in? Just curious

this is why Kiesel does not use baked maple fretboards or necks,
Jeff says there is just to much chipping and other wood damage because its so dry and brittle.
looks like their could be some truth to it.

It's the usual Korea, I have one too (bought used from GC) and I haven't experienced any issues of any sort with mine, it was one of the most perfect Agiles I've ever received. I think @Klisk just got a dud...which is unfortunately a possibility when dealing with import guitars (or even expensive ones sometimes).

I'd bet/hope the replacement will be better!

That is definitely a bummer that's really inexcusable. I wouldn't expect it on the replacement (with all of my past Rondo experiences), but I've never seen a chip in the fretboard like that pass the Korean maker's quality control. But, that's one of the best things about Rondo is Kurt's return policy.

Also, uneven frets on any guitar are a pain in the ass, but with uneven stainless frets-----NOPE. I don't have enough Captain Morgan, patience, or curse words in my arsenal to fix that on a brand new guitar.

Korea. It's from the World Musical Instruments factory.

I saw your thread before I purchased mine - I'm really jealous of the GC deal you got! Wish I had seen this model sooner. ;)

Yeah, the frets aren't even at all. Most lean one way or the other, causing one of the sides to lift, and you can fit your fingernail under many of them higher up the neck. It's a mess. I would take more pictures but I already have it boxed up.

There's a lot of scrapes/deep marks around the fret wire on the board, so I'm guessing Kiesel was right on this one. You can sort of see some of that in the picture I posted.

On the plus side, the nut is immaculate.

Bummer - hope the next one is a keeper. I'm not a fan of shreddy guitars in general, but that one has a very cool vibe to it. It's like the color combo is so ridiculous that it looks just right.

youch, that is rough. as others have mentioned, i'm not sure i've seen as obvious a flaw as that fingerboard divot make it to a customer even as b-stock. about the limit of what i'd expect would be minor binding visual flaws, nothing that could give you splinters, lol.

Sorry to see this. I have the same model and like Slowhand, mine had no issues at all.

Hope your replacement is the charm!

See what happens when I stop buying from Rondo, the pieces of shit have to go to someone else now.

Never heard of Roasted Maple being brittle. It's hard to fact check. You'll find conflicting opinions but it's definitely something a manufacturer has to understand how to deal with.

Yep GC is a gold mine if you check often and know what to look for! These are great guitars, I'm sure your replacement will be much better. I would definitely buy a second one if another used one came up for sale.

That should have never left Korea. One would think that the same outfit making the PRS SE stuff would be a little better.

Looks really cool. Sorry to hear about the issues it had! I'm so used to getting perfectly good guitars from them that I am blown away to hear cases like this one. Wonder what is going on there these days! Fingers crossed that the replacement will be perfect.
