I saw this one at a pawn shop around lunchtime today. It hadn't even been put on the floor yet. A heavy duty flight case was included. The serial number look up said it's a 2002. It has some slight rust and corrosion on some of the screws, though there are no dings or gashes and the frets are in fantastic shape. There's a great one piece maple neck on this one. Yes, I know that the bridge is six screws instead of two posts and the saddles are also Fender bent steel, which is not what's supposed to be on a 2002 MIA Standard. There's been some swapping of parts here, though everything appears high quality. I haven't paid this much for a guitar recently. I mean, it was 10 Xs what I paid for my Squier SE. But c'mon, it's an American Standard Strat, for only $360! I've never, ever seen one that cheap. Needs some TLC and set up work, but I can already hear that this one sounds amazing. Lots of quack on tap.
