Per my recent post, I'm a Traynor fan as of late. I just came across this video and it sounds so good I had to share. I want one of each model!

I don't have any now but I have in the past. Great amps, stupendously well built, and really loud. Excellent product!

I had one back in the day.It hurts me physically that I got rid of it.One of the dumbest gear decisions of my life.
A friend has 2 and just had one of them "Dumbelized" by amp genius Fuchs himself. I was supposed to mess with it Saturday but it was 85 in Manhattan all day so I went in with just a T shirt . After 5pm the temp dropped 40 degrees so I went right home and missed the party I was invited to.

    I effing HATE weather.
    Trying to reschedule amp "date"

I read good things about that one, too. How do you like it? What are your favorite things about it?

I have two heads, a YBA-1 and a YSR-1. I got them both at different times from my amp repair guy. The YBA-1 has been modded into a Plexi according to my amp guy. The YSR-1 is stock as far as I know. Both make toanz to die for. They are kinda heavy and cumbersome. The YBA basically has two channels, that can be jumped which is how I run it. One channel is nice and bassy and the other is ice pick clean. I can just blend until I get just the tone I prefer. It is one amazing amp. The YSR has reverb like you are at the Grand Canyon and killer tone. I've never carried them out to gigs much, once or twice but I have kept them set up and ready in the studio for long periods of time for rehearsal and practice. The are both for sale but no one local appreciates them and shipping would be a bitch. I'd do it but it would be a bitch and costly.

I also have an old YGM combo with a Vintage 30. I play that thing dimed and it is still clean.

I have a YBA-4, which is a YBA-1 mounted in a 1x15 combo cabinet. After installing an Emi Big Ben speaker, it's my favorite amp of all time. It's got nice, tweedy cleans until you lean into it, then it gets fierce. The YBAs have a lot of common DNA with the tweed bassman and Marshall JTM45. They're also AWESOME to work on, given the fact they're built on a turret board and the top of the amp comes off with four screws to reveal the innards.

I too have a YGM3 combo, which sounds like a Deluxe with a sprinkling of AC15. Mine won't break up either, but I have the parts here to do the "Parkhead" mods which are supposed to fix that.

I used to have a recent YCV40 which was a decent amp in the Hot Rod Deluxe vein, but I didn't love it. It was kind of the HRD's evil twin- while the HRD has a good clean channel and crappy drive, the Traynor had a good drive channel and mediocre cleans. When a DRRI crossed my event horizon the Traynor was done for.

'70s Traynors are the best bargains around in tube amps.

I have a YCS 50, which does everything I ask it to... a nice overdrive before the crunch channel, which has about 30% gain on it... mmmmmmmmmm.

I have a YBA-1 needing service tucked away in my closet. I really have no need for an amp that big, hehehe.

So here I sit variac'ing distortion pedals instead. :) Works like a charm.

You're in Canada! I thought every pawnshop from Vancouver to PEI was filled with Traynors!

Wouldn't that be nice! We seem to have all the over-priced crap that nobody wants. Not a lot of volume, so everything is expensive. Don't you know? We only have Squier by Fender and Epiphone by Gibson...

And at the pawn shops, they’re like 8% cheaper than new!

Yeah, pawn shops here seem to think that "used, but with the new price" is the way to go.
