Heck of a deal on a great offsite with that Guild quality.
The link won't show. It is a White Guild T-Bird on Amazon for $399.
As far as weird goes I think I like the guild just a bit more than the liquid
not more for the money but still tempted more because the different brand, hopefully less a project, different pickups and it would be cool to have a guild.
You should check out my recent NGD thread about my T-Bird.
That $399 one is very cool and a GREAT deal. But the more expensive and vintage-correct model is what I bought, and the controls are just batshit crazy.
It is a wonderful guitar, and you cannot possibly go wrong at that price.
The controls on yours just leave me scratching my head. But a lot of stuff does that to me these days.
This won't require anything other than maybe a minor set up. The Guild Mini Hums are sweet. I owned a Liquid (older model) and the difference in QC between it and the Guild is huge but I am admittedly a Guildaholic.
Ah no trem on that one. I would pass but lotsa folks don't like trems soooooo...
Also available from Sweetwater. The red version was available last week for the same price, but has since sold out.
At the end of the day, the controls are almost exactly the same as what's on a Jazzmaster or a Jaguar, except that the switches and knobs are in different places. The roller pots are replaced with a second, smaller set of volume and tone knobs. If I hadn't been wishing for one of the original for so many years, and if I wasn't such a stickler for vintage spec, I probably would have gone for the simplified one.
The controls are cool just not for this fool! And Stig you got da trem!!!
Not gonna lie - the trem is garbage. I never use 'em anyway. Strictly cosmetic on most of my guitars. I use the Bigsby on my 68 Starfire, and the trem on my 2004 American Std. Strat. That's about it. I took it off my Jag completely!
Dayum - I liked the trem on my JM and my Liquid a lot but I was born with a Bigsby in my hand.
Not too solid a body but firm is always nice. Don't want it to feel like you banged your hip on a dresser
I had one of the early models of that when guild was owned by guild it had sliders a lot like brian mays guitar and a built in stand really sweet guitar
Jesus... your poor mother... Must've hurt like hell.
Oh, we got yer sliders right here, pal...
She never really liked me...maybe that's the reason!
Nobody likes those little studs you're supposed to put the string ends on...
