He's asking $1595 is anyone is curious.
So many great players out there I've never heard of before. This guy is right up there.
That sounds shady. Wouldn't a real '63 go for much more?
Sounds like it possibly has some "bones" from a '63, but has been refinished, no original tuners, was "re-assembled by this guy.... Lot's of stuff that one would think would kill value..
Or it may all be BS and be epi parts or chinese knockoff. At any rate I won't be the guy to find out.
Nice playing though.
it's got a lot of non original parts and there is a noticeable buzzing. he states he looks for classic stuff with issues so he can get better deals
It's been refinished and has lots of non-original parts. Even a fully original SG from that era isn't worth nearly what LP's are worth though.
he sounds great though... I Really enjoyed his playing. I like the guitar too, but I like my guitars to be perfect, since my playing is not! LOL
playing starts at 3:09
I love single coils but I could not live with that much 60 cycle, after awhile it was all I could hear
Is it just me, or does the action look kinda high?
if he is emulating SRV then that would be the correct way to do it
Thanks. This guy is good. Another channel for me to subscribe to....for sure.
Most people here are probably already familiar with this guy, but he really knows his shit, and he comes up with some insane Gibsons, even though he is not nearly the player this guy is:
Never saw before.. Is it just me or does he sound like Mr. Rogers?
Seems like an honest enough dude as far as "vintage" guitar traders go. I can tell he's a huge John Way fan.
Whatever happened to John Way? Is he even still around?
Here he is explaining an old SG:
Looks like Mr Way went on a crash diet and started playing right handed!
