Well this one will be a double humbucker I will put a nice pickguard on with 1 volume and 2 tone it has Seymour Duncan 59s in the bridge and neck. I will of course strip and refinish it. I am not sure yet if I will do it natural or I was thinking TV yellow actual Gibson TV yellow not bright yellow still thinking about that one. I will put the jack on the butt get it off the front.

    One picture for now

Melody Maker Flyer, I believe it was made for 2-3 years, maybe 84-86 or 87. There was one for sale locally so I looked up info on it. IIRC it is an Explorer neck. Pretty cool looking guitars.

    I got this one striped
I dont think the grain on this one is as nice as the first 2 so I am thinking of painting it what color do you all think. Or what do you think about the grain this one will have 2 buckers in it and should I do chrome or Zebras

Man I just work round the clock NOT That is the beauty of laquer finish I soak a rag with lacquer thinner and wipe off the old finish. The grain is not bad but the match is not good IMO

Zacsdad, the Epi has a Poly finish, much harder to remove I think.

Darkburts that bad boy!!!! Come on man, do I hafta do all the thinking?
You're going with two humbuckers, right? It's begging to look like a
classic Jr. in my opinion. Heck, if it were me, I'd add "wings" to the
headstock and Jr that thing out all the way.
(but then again, what do I know?)

Tony, I agree, looks like the two pieces came from different trees. The picture of the guitar t-glo had looks great. Maybe you could paint it black, install a cream colored pickguard and black and cream zebra pups. Just a suggestion based on me picturing that pic of t-glo's above with zebras. That thing would look even more like an Oreo cookie.

I agree Jeff and it more pronounced in person

I have the perfect piece of mahogany for the head stock and a MOP Gibson inlay too

Since the grain on the 4 pieces of the body don't match very well, my vote goes for the TV yellow. With zebras, and maybe a black pickguard:thumbup:

Well as you know thw grain on this is les than spectacular. I have decided to do what emoney had said and dark burst or antique burst it. Now with a burst you still need decent grain so I did some shopping and found some decent veneer for the top. here it is when I was matching and then after I cut and fit. I have to make a template to sit on the veneer to keep it flat with the weights on it so I wont be gluing until this weekend.
