Many bikes here..bigger than cars in Thailand.. But not my thing. I prefer some structural steel between me and the Grim Reaper with the death rate on Thai roads
Yes I understand your predicament. I think it's great that the new minis are on the road, whenever I see one it brings back memories. In 1963 I commuted 13 miles to school in rural New South Wales in a basic mini with the 850cc motor. When the Cooper S came out, our version of Highway Patrol used them as pursuit vehicles. There is something stirring about having a Cooper S with twin driving lights in one's rear vision mirror. I was always very good boy whenever I saw one.
There is a real, vintage, plain stock Mini driving around here in the summer (old farts with toys). Every time I spot it, I get this warm feeling, some emotional reaction, kind of funny. There is a visual thing about it, I dunno, the proportions, spartan looks, and the fact that it was hot when I was a lot younger! I owned its Italian version, by Innocenti (Bertone!) in France. That thing almost killed me when the gas pedal cable got stuck WFO. I had a old-school cassette player set in a makeshift wood contraption.. Diana Ross singing " Baby Love.."
Sorry...free shipping only to SE Asia...you'll have to come and pick it up.... I told the GF I bought it but she had to sell the house now to help fund the purchase..this is what I got in return...
I drive John Cooper Works Mini convertible. In the Summer, it's one of the most fun cars I've ever driven. It's a joy to take out on the road.
