Our friends in China are a bit deeper into the "clone" game than we may have thought. They're ripping off Fulltone, Xotic, Mad Professor and others, selling flat out FAKE pedals.

Feel free to pass this info around and consider whether or not you want to buy these pedals, or other items made by these companies.

Bad Chinese. But how do you know they're made by Mooer and/or Eno? Maybe it's Joyo? Or Biyang.

    btw
this Joyo pedal sounds gross: the Vomtage

I don't know too much about those particular pedals. Are the Chinese too fucking cheap and greedy to add a couple of washers, arrows, and thumbscrews? Yes, I believe so. I know they are not that stupid.

i'm not much into pedals, but this is just another episode in a long line of Chinese counterfeit transgressions.
and as long as there's CA$H to be made, it's only gonna get worse !!

on the "big brand" guitar forums I constantly see posts by members that KNOWINGLY buy these fakes, which I personally believe should be made into a criminal act, and ENFORCED !
it's illegal to build, import, and sell this stuff, but as yet it's no serious crime to BUY it.
    that needs to change.

There are plenty of clones of these pedals at great prices so I am not sure why I would pay extra for fakes.

as these things start to circulate in the used market, it's going to get to where you really have to scrutinize your purchases..

Because a used Joyo Ultimate Drive is worth about $20 on Craigslist.

A used "OCD" pedal is $100.

    Got it?

A guy selling a $1500 fake Les Paul is much more likely to get busted than somebody passing off a $100 pedal, unless you're doing it in quantity.

This pretty much sounds like an urban legend.

Odd post on a website dedicated to a manufacturer/retailer obviously selling
copies of Gibsons & Fenders. Might expect to see it on a Gibson or Fender site. :dunno:

The Chinese have been copying things for years and years. If you go over the China you can buy fake everything, Calloway golf clubs, Rolex watches, Ray Ban sunglasses, Gucci purses, Gibson Les Paul guitars and practically anything else you can think of. This is not new. Famous medieval sword makers were copied by others from other countries. That's just the way it is. Buyer beware, educate yourself when buying used gear.

I think I'd be more scared of actually needing a pedal called TRIPLE WRECK than actually buying a forgery...lol
