I assume it was the ebay listings seller fjmari5 . he was good with me on damage so they should send you return label and youll get refund once it gets back to where it came from, i sent a damaged one back from him last year with no issues. on ebay just go open a return

Bummer - those 338's really could be a nice deal. If it was Ebay you have buyer protection too even if the seller doesn't come through...but I think i've heard that guy is fairly legit over on the firefly FB pages too.

I am completely cursed when it comes to Chinese made knockoffs/copies. Every one I've ever ordered whether it was from Firefly ( 2 now ), the BWG custom one-off or another no-namer - all turned out with unfixable structural/major cosmetic flaws. I should just give up while I'm ahead and buy a used Gibson 335 ;-)

    Damn man that really sucks.

I feel pretty lucky with both of the firefly's I got but I am totally done with the cheapo guitars. Best of luck with that one.

Doesn’t look like they used much glue on that neck joint. Someone needs to visit that factory and explain the joys of UPS to them.

I’d probably go for sunburst out of those choices. The gold is kinda cool too with the brown back and sides. Narsh has a black one and it looked cool in his thread.

    Go for the Gold.

I'm not sure from the picture, but, you know, you might be able to glue that neck back on. I'd give it a try, what have you got to lose? Get a clamp and some Tite Bond, watch a couple of YouTube videos, and see if you can get lucky with it.

The seller really came through, I'm impressed!
And of course, go for blue. And you get to try your hand at repair, either get a free guitar out of it, or get experience and some free hardware :)

Ideally i would go with the one that was the most structurally sound reguardless of color , electrics i can fix along with some mild fret work etc , the odd blemish who cares for the price .
The seller & staff most likely have no idea what they are shipping , but some weird spidey sence sez a black return would be the best bet and the gold the worst.
    Have gone with the gold

If not for the need to return it I would sand the neck and pocket and Hideglue it back together just for the practice. The more I read about hideglue the more I think its what I will use on my project guitar kits. I bought some and mixed it up for use on the one I have coming. It requires being heated to 145 degrees when applied but it draws the wood together when it drys to rock hard crystal's that wont draw under pressure like strings do to the joint. Its no wonder its been used for instruments since they first started making them. Clearly the softer modern glue has failed on yours probably from impact or pressure.
I'm glad the seller was a good one and made it right.

    Ouch.
    Wally World is Closed.
Opening the box you are SURE is the Red Ryder BB Gun and its..... Not.

Sounds like the seller will make good - good luck!!
"Go for the Gold" just has the right ring to it.
If you opt for the blue; I hope it doesnt give you the blues.

And if you dont have to return the other one I would definitely recommend trying your hand at a glue up repair, even it becomes a wall hanger.

If you ever have to fill this need, well, there you go:
