    $200 + 250 is less than $200 plus more than $250 though. From a cost savings perspective, better to start from a cheaper guitar.

    That makes such sense to me. I am in an area and in circumstances to try many amazing guitars every week. I play plenty of $$$ guitars that are unimpressive. I rarely try an impressive cheap guitar ( I have found Yamahas set up amazingly out of the box ) but I've hardly found even an SX level instrument that couldn't be made to play very well. The standard is what I like and I always try to get it as close as I can. ( Thanks to all the crap I own and you lunatics )

    Thanks the guitar has active Seymour Duncan blackout pickups in it. I really like them. Those and the EMG 85 pickups are my favorites.
