    Hey All,

Occasional lurker, first time poster. Used to own this great-playing, tough-sounding Agile AL-3100MCC...

    13dc0a94a1305e95df9e96360b751ca6.jpg

-- and loved almost everything about it (especially the surprisingly light weight), but ultimately just couldn't deal with the color, which IRL could be described as a seasickness-inducing "Transparent Margarita" that looked nothing like the yummy "Sea Foam Green" photos of this model posted on the Rondo site at the time.

Anyway, that guitar ending up going to a loving home, and so I figured -- if y'all don't mind -- I'd hang here while pondering my next Rondo (or Rondo-adjacent) acquisition. Looks like a fun place for the (budget) guitar-minded to learn and share.

    Hope everyone's enjoying the weekend!

I was just thinking some tinted lacquer would save the flame top. Of course it'd be a gamble how that green would respond.

I've seen worse colors from Rondo.

Welcome, Sir. I should probably copy your forum name, but I'd switch the order to avoid people confusing us: Talent Lacking :)

    Glad to have you aboard.

Welcome to the forum. Yes Kurt's Stock pic's on the Rondo site leave much to be desired.

Yeah, I mean, if it had actually looked like --

    6e94fdab50c7176163760c0d362ec37f.jpg

-- I'd still have it, but not only was the top tinted as you see upthread, but the entire rest of the guitar, unlike the stock photo in this post, was finished in a deep, dark, burnt sienna/umber, so...

I'd keep the guitar in post #1 and flip the one in post #14.

I did think about having the top refinished by a pro, but once you get into the prospect of spending again at least what the guitar cost to begin with, well....

    True on both counts!

Ignore paint can guys. You never paint over flame like that no matter the tint. I can kinda understand on the color but if that's grows to be an ugly color I'd have to say that's the prettiest ugly top I can recall. Pretty sure I'd of kept it. Especially it it was light.
    Welcome to the agf
