Saw these today on rondo. Dont remember ever seeing the blue purple burl before now looks pretty unique for rondo colors on an lp shape The purple black quilt with gold looks great! white inlays, purple back instead of the black and gold making me gas out lol
I check that place like almost every day, and the ONE day I don't check... hahahahahahaha That first one is FUGLY!! My guess is the way the colors attach to the burl is different and unpredictable. Now the second one, uh-oh, a 3100mcc, I'm in trouble... I don't know, what to y'all think about that gold hardware?
I like the gold better than the black for sure, makes it pop more for me. I have been waiting on an different purple to be stocked over that last 3010 . I'm just waiting to hear back if its purple back like the pics or black like the old stocks that burple burl would look better with blue center and black edge fade
Since this is a new model, with gold tuners showing, it is almost guaranteed to be like the pics (though probably a bit better in real life). I'm personally not digging the gold hardware here, but it's a matter of taste. The "blue"/purple is also not my thing. Kurt obviously likes it though - the finish is in his ad for selling the Agile brand, he ordered it as one of the three colors for the upcoming AD-3200 prototype, etc.
Rondo has the agile spalted top and the sea foam green as natural backs and there actually red so I dont trust the pics anymore lol.
I'll leave the purple variations to those who love them. I'm happy with my pedestrian tobacco burst and brown bursts. I'll consider a second ocean bust, I'm rather dull in my choices.
One of the custom select 3010SEs I ordered last year looks like that black/purple quilt. It has too much grey and not enough purple for my tastes but it's pretty striking nonetheless. The back, sides and neck were the typical Agile burgundy though:
got the purple black quilt today heres some pics https://www.aguitarforum.com/threads/agile-3100-purple-black-quilt.105166/#post-1727653
now theres a 3200 blurple lol kurt loving this blurple color https://www.rondomusic.com/Agile_AL-3200MCC_Purple_Burl.html
It's definitely got personality...pretty cool, and not your average, run of the mill CSBF. (Have to repost the pics, as familiarity paves the way for acceptance)...
As I posted in the AD 3200 thread, due to the iridescence of Blurple, @Niko Souza and I were discussing how it’s reminiscent of motor oil on asphalt and pigeons...I call it “Oil Slick Pigeon/OSP”
Yes I was gonna buy one when I found they were sold out in the ad-3200 mcc so I went for the Oceanburst instead.
