Well, I couldn't resist this one. Wanted to see if they original head stock Agiles lived up to all the hype. This thing has the original headstock and horn as well. And it is HEAVY! Much heavier than my Gibson Studio HP, and thicker too. The draw to this one was the SD pickups-Custom Custom bridge and 59 in the neck. Besides one small scratch in the bottom of the clear, it's immaculate. The neck profile on this one is thicker than other guitars I have, probably what I would guess is much more like a traditional Gibson. My wife is going to ban me from the forum LOL!

That's a beauty - and defintitely a rare bird with the old headstock, pointy horn and the quilt top. Looks to be in fantastic shape too, nice score.

Simply amazing. The pickups put it right over the top.

Don't sweat the heat you're going to get at home. Wives are a dicey thing, guitars like that are forever.

Holy Hell. He shoots he scores, and did it like you've been on AGF for years. Congrats on a beauty (y)

You know, this doesn't appear to have screwholes for the scratchplate (or is it just a trick of the light?). I wonder whether this was a very early custom?

    I'd call it an AL-25xx. Congrats! She's a beauty.

very very nice. I would say it is probably a 2500 or the quilted version. I have a couple of these, a p90 and a hb version and I absolutely love them both. Both of mine feel exactly the same as far as neck profile and I wouldn't call either of them wide at all. Enjoy it, and let us know if it lives up to the hype.

That's an early LP-2500, possible LP-2800 by the looks of that top.
    Nice score!

$325 delivered. Pretty cool guy was about 90 minutes from me but was a few blocks away today traveling for work. I figured for the condition with the pickups and case it was ok. Like I said, as long as I can get that or close to it when my wife makes me sell it, I'll be happy.

That's a beauty. Amazing condition too. HNGD. The old headstock is very similar to old Korean Samicks. I wonder if that's where these were made?

It's an AL2800 Deluxe. Yes it's a lunker. Very nice guitar. How do I know this? I have the exact guitar in It's stock form. They came without a pickguard. I like the stock pickups too. I think they're A2 or A3 magnet?

I have the Rondo specs bookmarked somewhere but if you do a search here you'll find threads. I think it came as a natural/birdseye too. Mine came from devdem. Thanks again dev!
