Hey guys, just picked up a new PRS S2 singlecut for gigging with the cover band. I've been playing with the Harley Benton LP with Seymour Duncan's for about 2 years but I've been having issues with the pickups buzzing and not sounding right for some time.

Tried to fix it a few times and it just wasn't right, so I picked this up to become my main gigging axe.

I have to say I love it. It took a couple of times playing to get used to the FB radius and neck, and had to lower the action significantly from how I received the guitar. Back DOWN to factory specs, which was weird. Now it plays and sounds friggin great. Only issue is the super thin satin finish. It's already got some dings and buckle rash on the back from 2 gigs. Oh well, I guess I'll have to keep it. d1c9806e435d87e4796ccd5ee21f752d.jpg c47f2358542e6195ee850d26cc5be969.jpg 8c83515ab46c480fcc1cb03a5a3dca56.jpg 37fee98ea37b63848b9a01477105777d.jpg afac7850e35371f32a3c56c0f8cb2982.jpg

Congrats! I really like the satin finishes although I understand that they aren't for everybody.

Nice axe! It's always nice to have a quality guitar with you on a gig. Just adds a little bit of confidence, although that doesn't protect you from a broken string much... :p

I have a s2 Mira and singlecut. Love them both. Great bang for buck on an American made instrument especially used.

I love the look of the Mira's but there's something about the selector switch on the top of the guitar that's just intuitive to me. I feel like I'm always fumbling to switch pickups when the switch is below the strings, but that's just my personal taste. Love the body shape though, and agree the S2's are incredible value.

Might pickup another one on the used market to have a primary and a backup.

Noice! Front and back! needs double cremes or zebras, but that's just cosmetic. This is for making money, not friends LOL!

To me it looks like a gracefully simple, beautiful tool designed for sophisticated sonic mayhem. Hope you enjoy it.

My Gibson SG 60s Tribute has a very similar thin nitro finish. I've already scratched it up in several places and it's never even left my studio.

More than once I've thought about picking up a used S2, still might happen one day. Congratulations on a sweet guitar! And I dig satin finishes.

Hell yeah. Nice grab, beautiful axe!

Thin finish and NO finish are excellent for many reasons :)
